FMLA Date Calculator

This calculator adds 12 weeks (the standard federal FMLA entitlement) to your leave start date. If you qualify for the 26-week military caregiver entitlement instead, your actual end date will be later than what's shown here.

Intermittent leave lets you take FMLA leave in separate blocks of time (or on a reduced schedule) rather than all at once, when medically necessary. Your total entitlement is measured in hours rather than a single continuous block of weeks.

It depends on your employer's policy. Employers can define the 12-month period as the calendar year, a fixed 12-month period starting on your first FMLA leave date, or a rolling 12-month period measured backward from any leave request — check your employer's FMLA policy for which method applies to you.
